PADI basic Mermaid

Mermaids are the mythical swimmers of the ocean, but without legs. 

How does THAT work? Come and find out! 

Slip into a monofin, and let our instructors show you the ways of the mystical merfolk!

The PADI Basic Mermaid course combines learning supporting knowledge and principles with a confined water skill development session to introduce the fun of fundamental mermaid diving. 

The course covers mermaid diving's background and culture, primary safety considerations, equipment and basic water skills.

2+ Hours (minimum age 6 years old up to adult)

Double up on your mermaid knowledge, training and fun!

 Includes a knowledge development session and a confined water session. 

Pre-requisite: Ability to swim at least 50m/160ft without swimming aids 

& float comfortably at the surface for at least 3 minutes  and be  in good physical health.

Max Depth: 3m/10ft 

Location: Pool

$250 includes eLearning

 No prior snorkeling, skin diving or free diving course completion is required.

The PADI Basic Mermaid course consists of two phases:

• Study independently using PADI Basic Mermaid eLearning 
• A confined water (pool) session to learn and practice basic mermaid diving skills, problem prevention and handling, and how to make mermaid dives

This class is a one hour class and available for ages 6 and up. 

By passing the course one will be certified as a PADI Basic Mermaid.
